Online Misogynist Influencers: a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Issue for Schools

This online webinar follows on from a sellout online event in September 2022 and will be of particular interest for school heads, SLT, Designated Safeguarding Leads and Safeguarding Governors: please make this a definite ‘date for your diary’!

Michael Conroy, founder of Men At Work CIC, and expert guest Dr Tamasine Preece, co-founder of http://www.humanise.pro, will present on the growing phenomena of online misogynist influencers – men like Andrew Tate, whose recent high profile arrest brings his undeniable influence over millions of young men into very necessary scrutiny.

The huge reach of such men sharing extremely dangerous views about women poses a clear risk to safeguarding and to the mental and emotional wellbeing of boys and young men and girls and women. We need, as educators and responsible adults to be as aware as we can be of their modus operandi, their core messages and their appeal to the many millions of boys and young men in the UK and beyond.

The initial approach we take when we engage with boys and young men is crucial – this webinar will be an opportunity to explore what works – and what should be avoided.
