This DVD contains a number of the clips are good entry points into key topics regarding the nuts and bolts of sex and provide opportunities to explore wider related themes such as pornography and how consent happens. Something to note – the resource as a whole is quite heteronormative, showing and discussing only sexual activity (as cartoons) between young men and women; ‘gay’ is then a separate chapter rather than gay and lesbian relationships being normalized throughout.
Students should be reminded of the age of sexual consent at the start of every lesson. The law applies to everyone, regardless of sex or sexual orientation.
